Did you know it is scientifically proven that gratitude not only helps with mindset but your physical health, too? It’s true! Good health is at the forefront of achieving our goals for a variety of reasons, which you will hear more about in this episode.
Gratitude Month is in full swing here on Unstoppable Success Radio. We are bringing you these episodes every week to help you get recentered and make gratitude your default state of mind so you can reap the multiple benefits of doing so.
Join me in another Gratitude Challenge episode….
(5:47) “My challenge for you today is to focus on snapping back into a default position of gratitude in each and every cross that you bare and in each and every situation that you feel as if you are struggling through.”
(10:16) “Energy is really the center of everything. You know your energy level dictates your results. You can look at two people with the same exact set of tasks. One that gets unbelievable results and you know is happy and is very fulfilled at the the final outcome. The other, does the same activities, going through the same motions so to speak but with a lower energy level, that literally gets nothing out of it.”
(12:40) “There is something each one of us can do each day to be grateful and to do a better job of cultivating that default state of gratitude -- and not only is that going to impact our happiness, it's gonna impact our health and it's gonna impact our ability to grow our wealth.”

Financial freedom in our life through our businesses is something we all want to create. In today's episode we are breaking down a platform that is becoming more important in business-- MOBILE.
Meet photographer, social media strategist and entrepreneur Francesca Ragucci. She is explaining why, in this technology filled world, we need to pay more attention to HOW people are viewing our content. It isn't on a desktop anymore, it’s all on the go… aka on mobile.
Some of Francesca’s shared tips include to create banners and graphics built for mobile, to always be thinking of the next picture you could snap for Instagram, and to be confident in the content you are putting out.
(4:44) “Create a moving photo around a moving photo and that's a pillar in branding as well. So when you are putting a photo together whether you are a photographer or you are just someone who is a business owner with an iPhone, I want you to make sure you keep in mind the setting of your photo. You keep in mind the main purpose of your photo and the target audience you are going after.” ~Francesca Ragucci
(10:29) “Video is a huge component in mobile today. Weather you are going on Facebook Live, Instagram, Periscope etc. Not everyone is built as the video machine and not able to be this humourous character on camera...but some people are. Some people are made for creating a blog on a day to day basis. The best way to find out who you are in a mobile market is to figure out which is best for you.”~Francesca Ragucci
(18:07) “I really like to keep it straight. I am really straight forward and I have been told that. Because guess what? People need to hear the truth and understand what is going on today. If you don't, your business is going to take a major hit from it. So keep an open mind.”~Francesca Ragucci

2018 is just around the corner, and with that comes a few opportunities for your business. It could be time to set new goals, or create new strategies. It might also be time to audit your current branding.
I recommend that you set some time aside, even if it is just a few hours, to really think about what your brand stands for and how it represents you. One of the biggest complaints I hear from business owners is that they aren't getting the QUALITY they are looking for in regards to incoming leads.
We need to start paying more attention to the correlation between the people we attract and how we present ourselves. In this episode, you will learn how to do a brand audit and attract higher-quality leads — your business deserves it!
(1:10) “Sometimes we are so close to our businesses that we don't even see there is a direct correlation in how we present and the people we attract. It is in a multitude of ways, not just visually, but also verbally. In the way we position ourselves, in the way we price our business, and so many more things.”
(6:03) “We can sit there and scratch our heads for weeks, months or even years trying to figure out why we’re not getting the quality or quantity of leads that we want for the level of product or program we want to sell... and in all cases, it's because of our own actions.”
(9:01) ‘My goal for you today is to ask yourself, number one are you happy with the quality of leads that you have been getting? And do you feel the quality of leads are a match for your ideal target market?”

“In all things, give thanks.”
The above is a phrase I have written on a sign in my office. It reminds me everyday that we all have a greater purpose and special set of gifts. Today I’m inviting you to give thanks for that god-given gift.
I also want to give thank to YOU: the listeners of the show. Without you, this could not be possible. I thank you from everyone on my team, and we would love to hear from you! Drop us a line on iTunes so we can thank you for your love and support.
(5:47) “Sometimes we get caught up just in the cycle of treading water, keeping our heads above water. Walking through the quicksand of life and we forget our mission! We forget to give thanks for those unique talents, those unique gifts that were given that are ours.”
(7:45) “I want you to rediscover and give thanks. Look up to the sky raise your hands up and say ‘Thank you! Thank you for my gift. Thank you for my unique purpose, thank you for the freedom to pursue my mission that is unique to me and me alone.’”
(13:25) “Remember that you are unique. You were put here with a plan and purpose. It’s your job to live that out and discover what that is and make the work of your life your life's work; being the best you can be, with what you have been given.”

Over the past few years, the business space has made a few shifts. Everyone has moved online or has moved into some type of online platform. Our branding, image, and photography have become CRUCIAL -- and is a key player in how our audience relates to us.
In this episode we are talking to photographer (and client!) Mike Lloyd. Mike shares that it’s about finding the right photographer for not only you but your brand. If you want your brand to be represented in a powerful way that breaks through the white noise of the online space, having great images is key. A great photographer can help you do so.
You can see Mike’s work on my instagram account (@kellyroach13) but be sure to head to Mike’s account directly to see the full scope of his work (@mikelloydphoto).
(4:02) “The photography is the visual representation of your business philosophy, your values, the message you are trying to get across so there needs to be a consistent theme. A lot of my work is very colorful, very epic, cinematic but if that’s not your brand then maybe i’m not the best photographer for you. So it needs to be on par with what you are doing.”--Mike Lloyd
(10:48) “I would first consider the difference between an expense and an investment. Expense is something you are going to spend that you will never see again. Investment is something you put money in that will come back to you and in theory you will end up with more money than you had before the investment. If you do this right, your new photography will be an investment because it represents your brand, and it captures the attention of your potential clients”--Mike Lloyd
(14:27) “There are so many things you can say with it (photography) to elicit different emotions from your clients. So can be very forward facing in the camera, making eye contact with the viewer and that is going to help initially gain interaction with them because you are making eye contact, makes them want to read what else you have going on”--Mike Lloyd

We grew up in a complicated world where we were told failure was not an option. Whatever we learned in school, we would just memorize it and then regurgitate it back out on paper. If we failed to do that? We were hit with that terrorizing letter “F”.
In today’s episode I want to reverse the negative mindset we have around taking risks and possibly failing. What we need to do is look at risk as a chance for teachable moments -- it’s just as important to know what doesn’t work as well as what does. Knowledge of both will help you to move forward in achieving your goals.
(3:18) “There is a reason why we have this aversion to risk. It’s because we grew up in a certain in a society where we take a test and we are expected to regurgitate back a specific set of information and if we don't do that in the exact form or in the right composition….that we fail.”
(6:24) “You’ve be taught for many many many years of your life how bad it was to do so [fail]. It’s natural for all us to not want to fail and that feeling of not wanting to fail is our protection is our coping mechanism. It’s natural and you have been programmed that way”
(9:08) “For me, I have learned over and over again that it is only through exposing yourself to risk that you can truly make those big leaps forward. It’s only in trying something big and really going for it that you are going to accomplish greatness.”

Day 1 of the gratitude challenge starts now!
Give me a show of hands: how many people have tried meditation? Maybe some have, but I’m sure many of you haven’t. But I want to challenge you to try something out of your comfort zone.
It only takes 2 minutes, so you can do it right when you wake up in the morning and right when you fall asleep at night. Sit there and think of all the things you are grateful for. Take that moment and really reflex. It’s the little things in life we forget to acknowledge and be GRATEFUL for.
Take the time and never forget what you have :)
(5:28) “When you look at the problems you are facing all day, everyday. It is probably at the end of the day a blessing that you are facing those challenges because if those challenges did not exist you most likely would not be needed in the equation”
(8:53) “When you begin your day with reflection and giving thanks for those things you become an unstoppable warrior. We talk about this show, we call you guys our unstoppable army because you are people who believe so deeply in the vision you have for your future that you let no obstacle, no challenge, no set back, no failure stand in your way of you pursuing your success”
(10:35) “When you are suffering, when you are going through these trials and tribulations, being thankful for those things is incredibly important because those are the critical redirects in your life from which the biggest and most important positive life changes will come from”

What’s the first thing you think of when you think of Pinterest? Probably weddings and different ways to make your favorite desserts. But have you ever thought about using Pinterest to gain exposure your business?
In today's episode, we are talking to social media strategist, Pinterest expert, and CEO of White Glove Social Media: Anna Bennett.
People don’t always think of Pinterest as the ‘the platform’ but Anna is sharing with us why it can actually be the GO TO social media site. For the female millennial group this is a growing platform, and one other businesses need to pay attention to.
By combining strategy, visually appealing photographs, and incorporating your blog--you will not only master the world of Pinterest but grow your business at the same time.
(3:05) “Biggest benefit is that Pinterest can really help your business rank on the first page of Google, under your most important keywords. We all know that keywords is something that we often type into google.”
(13:00) “You need to be following pinners or boards, pinning your own stuff and re-pinning other peoples content. Sharing your pins on other social media platforms, i'm thinking Facebook or Twitter, if your audience is there. You need to re-pin trending topics, because Pinterest users are trend seekers.”
(16:20) “That content needs to be actionable. Why is that important? Because that is what people do on Pinterest, they look at the image and they ask themselves, ‘ok how can I take action on this image so I can improve my life, solve a problem or plan an important occasion.”

What came first...the chicken or the egg? It’s the question every entrepreneur faces: getting help to grow the business OR build the business and get help as the business grows.
Getting help at home is one strategy that can give you time back in the day to focus on your business’ growth -- and remove some of the stress around a pile of undone ‘tasks.’ It can be laundry, shopping, cleaning... it doesn't matter what you need help with. There are people who can help you out by getting it done.
We are sharing 3 simple ways you can strategically make the changes to getting the help you need while still working your dream job!
(5:10) “There is no excuse to not get help at home. Anyway you slice or dice the equation it’s going to improve your relationship, it’s going to lower your stress level, and you’re going to make more money in your business.”
(7:28) “A lot of times guys we think we are making the safe, risk-free decision. When we make decisions based fear, when we make decisions based on scarcity, it’s almost never the right one. It always backfires and hurts us even more.”
(9:01) “My message to you today is believe in yourself, be smart, be strategic, and do the exercise. Figure out how many hours of help you could hire for just an extra one single client you could bring on to work with personally. Go out and get that help and then redirect that time into doing more profit producing activities.”

What is the fastest way to grow your business and gain success? Hiring a winning team! The people you surround yourself with determine the level of success your company is going to achieve.
Getting help in your business at all levels is the most important jobs you have as the CEO of your company. In many situations, however, the employees or contractors that are hired are actually costing you money instead of earning it for you. It’s giving hiring in the small business world a bad name.
It’s the dilemma ALL business owners have. How do we grow fast enough to afford to get help... but how do we make sure that help is making us money and not costing us money? We are breaking down 5 steps on how to transform your team from an expense to an investment!
(3:20) “Hiring is very similar to dating. A lot of times what you see on the first date is not what you get 3 months, 6 months, a year later. The very same goes with the hiring process. Which means that, when you are thinking about going through the hiring process and building a winning team for yourself, go into the mindset understanding you will probably go through 3 or even 4 people before you find the ‘one’. “
(7:15) “When you are assigning the task to the individuals that work for you, that are being brought on to help you in any area of the business, be very clear and specific about exactly how much time you want allocated to those tasks. Be very very clear.”
(11:37) “Mindset is the number one thing. I always say it: mindset comes before mechanics. You can send someone off firing and doing tactical tasks, from day one hour one. But if they don’t understand the connection to the result they are trying to get, you are not going to be happy with their performance.”

Sometimes work can feel like a hamster wheel. We go round and round just working to get to retirement without even thinking about the future. This is why earning passive income is so attractive to many people. Specifically, through real estate.
In today's episode, we are talking to entrepreneur and expert real estate investor Lane Kawaoka. He is the co-owner of MPFE Investments and host of the real estate podcast Simple Passive Cash Flow Fund.
With over 260+ multi family units, he understands how beneficial real estate investing can be for continuous income. Lane explains that while many people are scared of the market because of the 2008 crash, it’s a different market that he recommends investing in.
(8:43) “Educate yourself. Podcasts are great way. Read a few books… don’t read too many books, you guys are business owners, like you are killing it. Don’t spend all your time doing this. I would suggest getting a mentor.”--Lane Kawaoka
(10:18) “People look at the numbers, but they don’t think of them as shades of grey. They think by numbers. They like by highest rent to value ratio, which you can get...But there is a reason a property is priced so low. You have to look at the area it is in.”--Lane Kawaoka
(16:07) “I think there is just a lot of bad information out there. I mean, I’m not a fan of the whole flipping thing and this BRRR strategy where you buy, rent, rehab and refinance the deal...I think a lot of people get scared of the real estate market from 2008.”--Lane Kawaoka

We hear of career changes all the time. Ellen Degeneres was a paralegal before she was a daytime talk show host. Julia Child was a spy for the CIA before she became a culinary genius.
We all have our reasons to leave one profession for another. Our guest Annie Spano’s reason to leave was a more personal reason. Annie hopped from job to job, moving from high school math teacher to a project coordinator in a big corporate business.
However, as she started to grow in the position and in her education, she started recognizing a ‘work bully’ situation in the office.
She then left and created ‘Style Collective’, a community to collaborate and empower other women to grow their fashion blogs. Annie connects with people through sharing this story, a story of learning from a personal hardship and growing from the experience.
(8:40) “Your past doesn’t define who you are. You can write your own story, you can start over. I have started over many times. This is my third career now, and I am in my early thirties -- and you know the ‘work bully’. If had listened to everything that she had told me and let that bug in my ear bring me down, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do today.” --Annie Spano
(12:40) “I wanted so bad to be a leader in the position I was working in and I was not able to do that. My love for leadership and inspiring others and empowering them, showing them my hustle so they hustle. It empowers them and inspires them to help other woman in the community” --Annie Spano
(14:56) “Post constantly, being engaging, providing helpful content, celebrating our members on social media and on our website and on our emails and being inspirational. Really showing that as an organization we care about our members”-- Annie Spano

We talk on this show all the time about creating the foundation for a winning team. Today, I want to pull back the curtain and take you back to before some of my own employees were a part of my team… to when they were interns!
Some of my best full time hires have come from internships. Having an internship program in your business is so important because you can:
When you are growing in any organization, people are everything. Those who wait too long to hire are the ones that struggle immensely building their business and becoming a leader.
(3:15) “Bottom line here is there is no better way to find amazing employees that learn fast, pick up at rocket speed, are energetic, excited and are going to give a boost to your small business than through bringing on interns.”
(6:47) “It’s to their benefit here because you can teach them unbelievable skills that they will use to earn a higher paying job upon graduation and to get better opportunities for themselves when they complete their education.”
(12:40) “ It’s incredibly important to take great care of your interns, make it an amazing learning experience for them. Make it fun, make it valuable. Meet with them in person, take time to mentor them. Make it a relationship so that when that internship ends, you have someone out there who is an ambassador and an advocate for your company.”

It’s time to break free from the chaos! In this episode we are talking to Scott Beebe, CEO of My Business on Purpose, a company based on the mindset that business is created with purpose.
Ask yourself this: what is your vision or snapshot of your business? Many entrepreneurs will say they don’t know, which is their first mistake. Having the vision and developing effective leadership skills are two of the most important principles of becoming an entrepreneur.
(3:01) “One of the reasons you are grateful for your team because they are probably very focused on a vision that you have set forward”--Scott Beebe
(9:50) “Write down your vision so those who may read it will run because when you write down the duration… What it does is it forces people to run towards your vision or run away from your vision”--Scott Beebe
(17:11) “Be descriptive, be intentional about what you see. Remember, this is your vision and vision compells, vision draws, vision pushes away, vision attracts, and it divides. The more clarity you put in your vision the more clarity you give them.” -- Scott Beebe

“Sometimes the simplest solution is often the best one”
I said it once and I’ll say it again, simplicity is KEY. This year I found myself trapped using a complicated approach to sales and success then necessary. So I railed it back, and implemented a strategy I haven't used in a while-- 30 minute strategy sessions. It’s simple, straightforward, and the easiest way to get prospects on your calendar
Sometimes we get so caught up in the business and the work, that we forget what's right in front of us. For us that was the strategy sessions. We were so focused on trying to find other ways to utilize OTHER strategies, we left this one behind.
Sometimes we need to go back to the basics, rework some things, and try it in a new way. Strategy sessions are just one of the many ways you can get quality leads on your calendar ready to buy---listen to the rest of the episode for more!
(1:03) “Sometimes you put so much time and energy into audimation and level 2 and level 3 strategies that you are trying to employ but you forget about the simple solutions right in front of your face”
(4:25) “Your busy being busy and doing the work you miss the things that are right in front of you. We never stopped focusing on that strategy because it didn't work, we were just looking for more leveraged techniques to gain sales”
(14:45) “Remember, where there is a will there is ALWAYS a way and there is absolutely no harm that can be done in having more conversations between your company and your target market with qualified leads who want to learn how you can help them”

“Your life can change in an instant”
Tony Robbins said this over and over again for the past 15 years. In all honesty, I didn’t understand it the first few times.
The key heartbeat in your business is the ability to implement strong strategies, put in the work and be mentally present… which means you’ve got to be operating at your peak. This year, I hired a personal trainer to get back into shape and improve my health. In that instant, I’ve changed my life (more on that in the episode).
Have YOU invested in your own health and wellness? The energy required to grow a business means you’ve got to take care of yourself FIRST. Find the means to build up your energy so you can be fully present for yourself, your business, and your family.
(3:49) “My fatigue was so bad during the day I didn’t even want to get out of bed. I was so exhausted. I was dragging my way through appointment after appointment, struggling my way call after call. I really wasn't happy or present in anything I was doing because I was so tired.”
(7:18) “We all know our ability to build our wealth is directly tied to our energy level and our energy level is essentially going to determine our ability to achieve all our goals and dreams because you can know the right things to do but without the drive and the spark and the energy to do them...that knowledge doesn't do you any good.”
(9:15) “The energy I have now working with the trainer, to raise my energy level, my strength, my endurance is priceless. I don't wake up in the morning feeling fatigued anymore. I can hope out of the bed at 6am and BOOM ready to go.”

“What line of work are you in?” “What type of product do you sell?”
It’s the simple questions that many entrepreneurs can't seem to answer. Every single one of us has a different talent, and we need to identify it. In this episode we are talking to speaker, leader and ‘idea-junkie’, Michael Hudson.
Creator of Vision Speaker, Michael helps entrepreneurs and business owners create dynamic presentations to communicate change. It’s all about telling your story. We learn from the lessons in our own life, and that is what people connect to. The biggest learning experience comes from the things we don’t succeed in. Share this side of you-- this is the part of your business that draws people in.
(2:30) “When you keep confusing that message, as Donald Miller says, when you confuse you lose. When you keep confusing that message you're giving yourself, all you give yourself permission to do is to keep floundering.”--Michael Hudson
(11:58) “That real connection is what opens the door to transformation…..Your goal is to transform people's lives. I can’t transform your life if we aren't being 100% honest with one another.” --Michael Hudson
(16:30) “We think it’s all about numbers and numbers matter, but numbers aren’t the key drive. The key drive is impact.”-- Michael Hudson

2018 is basically here, which means we need to get hyper focused-- meeting revenue goals, getting courses and coaches to fill in the gaps, and editing personal schedules to become MORE productive.
Personal productivity is the one thing that stands in the way of entrepreneurs reaching their financial goals. Days become over-complicated with a list of objectives that are just simply unproductive.
The question we need ask ourselves when we look at the calendar is: does this directly add to the lifestyle I'm trying to create and the income I'm trying to achieve?
(3:44) “What is going to be the top big rocks, that are core recurring things on your calendar, every single week. That are tangibility and effectively moving you toward your goal. In a way you can visually see there is a direct correlation in time in and results out.”
(7:26) “The best thing you can do for yourself at this point this time of year is simplify, go back through, do some weeding. Try to challenge yourself to get rid of a third of the projects and initiatives and tasks you are doing each week. Get the right person doing the right things”
(13:28) “I want in encourage each and everyone of you, that if you have been feeling overwhelmed, if you have been feeling like your energy is being dispersed or diluted and you have too much on your plate--it's because there is!”

There is a depiction online of what everyone thinks the “journey to success” looks like versus reality. What most of the depictions don’t show, however, is that success is never a straight line.
Entrepreneurship (and being successful at it) is full of messes -- and you have to be willing to accept that failures along the way will happen. The stronger you become in accepting them and rolling with the punches, the faster you will grow your business.
In the moment, it feels so hard to push through and adapt. But remember this: it takes 10,000 hours to master any skill. When you’re in business, you’re learning, growing, and developing new skills every single day. Your ability to PIVOT in the face of struggle gives you the ability to problem solve quickly and effectively.
(2:30) “You are now presented with a choice: to accept where you are as final, or PIVOT. Pivoting will take you all the way to the top. Pivoting is one of the most important and hardest entrepreneurial skills”
(6:20) “The vast majority of people are willing to accept a temporary setback, as a final destination. But you, you my UNSTOPPABLE ARMY, are absolutely not. You are going to pivot your way to success.”
(9:10) “The journey is not clean... it is not pretty for any of us. But always remember that the obstacles you are facing were put in your path to grow you into the highest and best form of yourself you can be.”

When life gives you chocolate chips, why not make cookies? That is exactly what CEO and cancer survivor Loren Brill did. At the age of just 22, Loren was diagnosed with cancer, which turned her world upside down.
Loren shares that there are somethings you just can't control, but there are things you can. Getting diagnosed with cancer was something no one could see coming, but her health and nutrition was an escape. She wanted life and empowerment out of what she put into her body.
With Loren’s sweet tooth leading the way, she created a ‘healthy’ cookie made with all natural ingredients. Sweet Loren’s Cookies was created as a healthy option for people when they need something sweet.
(2:10) “I had a lot of time with myself and a lot of time to figure out what i was passionate about and what i really enjoy doing. If life is so precious, what do i really want to spend time doing and what do i really care about….” --Loren Brill
(9:40) “We are dealt a certain deck of cards. There are certain things that happen in life that are something unexplainable. It’s all of our responsibility, no matter how we were raised, what has happened in our life. What do we want to turn our own life into? What would make us happy?”-- Loren Brill
(18:30) “I think you have to find something that really lights you up, that you are passionate about and to me if you combine that with a really clear vision, and fill a hole in the market with a smart business plan behind it, How can you not win?”--Loren Brill
The secret to life is finding that passion that gets you out of bed in the morning. Turn that hobby into something that will change not only your life, but the lives of everyone around you.

Don’t be afraid to step in front of the camera -- it might be a HUGE profit booster in your business. In this episode, you’ll meet Katya Varbanova: LIVE streaming expert and strategist helping entrepreneurs to utilize live streaming to grow their audience online and generate revenue.
Katya has had no hiccups when transitioning from one platform to the next. She has moved from Periscope to Facebook LIVE to Youtube and has lost no momentum. Her trick? You can’t just be focused on one platform.
(4:50) “I don't stay romantic to platform, Gary V is really good at this. He always says don't be romantic about the platforms, and don't be romantic about your tactics but use the skill that you have built to quickly adapt.”--Katya Varbanova
(13:30) “You know a good CEO, when they are presented with opportunities they will find a way to make it happen that doesn't mean they sacrifice everything... I don’t want to force people to go LIVE, but I do want people to realize it is one of those things it doesn’t have to be a production”--Katya Varbanova
(22:15) “For ‘newbies’ i would start with 5 or 10 minute broadcasts once a week. Just to start slowly but surely... you do not have to start full blown weekly show that are fully produced, with backgrounds and back drops and equipments. NO, not at all.” --Katya Varbanova
(31:30) “Livestreaming has been so instrumental for me and my business not just because that is what I teach. People make decisions about whether they like you or not after they watch a live stream faster.” --Katya Varbanova

When it comes to growing your business, the opinions and criticism of others can seemingly be everywhere. It's important to know which feedback should be taken seriously in each specific situation and setting.
Someone who is not in the entrepreneurial world will never understand the specific challenges and triumphs of being a business owner. Bottom line: unless the source of feedback has already done what you want to achieve, DON'T TAKE ADVICE FROM THEM!
(2:23) “It’s very important to recognize and realize that someone that is not in the entrepreneurial world will never understand the feeling that the person has deep down within them that they must pursue something bigger than themselves”
(7:10) “It’s all going to come down to leadership. It’s your ability first and foremost to lead yourself. To own your decisions, to not need to fall back on the opinions of other people. To reach up, not down. To look up and not down.”
(11:08) “ It is up to you to recognize you are going to fail. You are going to trip and fall but you are going to get back up. You are going to learn and be better and fast from last time”
