Tell me this: Why do we do anything we do? What drives us? What is it in the morning that we wake up seeking for?

You might answer with a host of other words besides happiness to the question above, but I will give you this to consider: in everything we do, we aim to be happy and fulfilled. The greatest gift you can give to both yourself and the people you’re close with is to peaceful, present, joyful, and invested in each moment.

With today’s episode, I hope to inspire you to make the choice to be happy. Society tries to tell us what should make us happy… things like status and possessions. But when you place your happiness in external objects, you lose out.

Remember this: our time on this Earth is limited. Every day you spend unhappy is a day you never get back. You need to give the power back to yourself when it comes to how you feel every single day.

Start with these considerations:

• What is your ‘core setting’ -- aka the state you settle into daily. Are you optimistic? Pessimistic? Anxious?
• Would altering your core setting serve you? Can something like 10 minutes of gratitude each morning shift your persona?
• Who holds the power over how you feel? (I’ll give you the answer - it’s you!)

Be the person who doesn’t allow a struggle, misfortune, or tragedy from the past recycle itself over and over in your life. Who takes back the power in their lives. Who makes an impact and serves the world and leaves a legacy.

The choice to be happy is yours.

You want to be different. You want to be the person who goes the distance, or as I like to say it, to be the high achiever that closes the gap between you and your goals.

People spend an average of 4.7 hours in front of their phone….imagine what else you could be doing with your time?

In this episode, we are talking about how our brain has gone to dogs--or should I say phones-- and what we can do to separate ourselves from the screen. Society has changed over the years, but this change is something no one saw coming. How intensely we have become attached to screens and scrolling is still a mystery (at least to me) but many of us now are starting to see the changes this new lifestyle has brought on.

These devices have been linked to numerous mental and physical drawbacks, not to mention it can take a toll on our relationships. We need to give ourselves a chance to unplug and relax from the world around us. Simple changes can go a long way to help create these tech-free times for yourself.

Today’s episode covers key changes you can make to unplug and unwind, and here’s a few starter strategies:

• Establishing what times are ‘sacred’ such as your family time -- and making a commitment to leave your phone in another room during those times
• Investing in getting a watch or a wall clock so that you don't have to always check your phone for the time and be sucked into social media
• A mindset shift around what it really means to ‘live in the moment’ and how to prioritize yourself in your experiences

In this episode, we are talking about how beta testers can help refine your business and provide you with less stress. Beta testers helped me with the relaunch of the Simple 0-$100K System 2.0 by providing me with insights I couldn’t have seen myself. (This program is being relaunched to help YOU be more successful in the online business world… more on that this week!)

The first time you launch a new program or course, there are going to be ups and downs. You are going to change some things around but it will only make your program stronger and more attractive to your market. This is why beta testers are so important, they help make the program or course better for the next group that comes along.

What can beta testers bring to the table?

• Beta testers can start asking the right questions so you know what to really focus on
• What you might think is right order or sequence could be different for the people taking the course or program
• The beta testers’ experiences and questions can not only give you ideas for added content for the program.. But the copy for your sales and marketing messages when you launch!

The gold in this is realizing that the pe-launch is just as important as the launch itself. The beta testers are giving you their perspective on what needs to be done. When you are creating something in a vacuum and you aren’t getting enough engagement, beta testers are the answer!
