To kick off International Women’s Day, female founder Emily Frisella is joining us on today’s episode of the podcast. Emily is a multi-passionate entrepreneur who, at age 20, opened her first brick and mortar boutique and has since written two bestselling cookbooks, and launched her newest business venture, The Paper and Plan Co., this past October.
Kelly and Emily discuss the importance of relationships in entrepreneurship, which Emily says is the thread she’s pulled through her journey and the core of what has kept her successful through each entrepreneurial experience. Emily shares that relationship building is her end-all-be-all, and the two agree that the best relationships are built on fairness, patience and exchanging value.
She also dives into the boundaries she and her husband have in place that keep their relationship, both in business and marriage, successful.
Emily touches on her leadership style and the company culture she cultivates, as well as why reading leadership books is so important even for long-time leaders.
