Most of you, like me, do everything you do because you want to provide a better future for your FAMILY. Although one of your biggest passions in life might be your business, you don’t need to choose your business dreams versus serving your family -- it’s an AND conversation, not an OR conversation.

I encourage you to figure out what your ‘North Star.’ What is the question you need to ask yourself in every decision moment to make sure your decisions and actions are aligned with all of your values and your ‘why.’ This simplifies the process and removes the stress and doubt that may have been allowed to creep in if you were living in the grey area.

It can be a delicate subject: getting feedback from other people. There are so many times when you hear feedback and opinions from people who truly have no business telling you what they think. On the flip side, we need to surround ourselves with ‘truth-tellers.’ These are the people in your circle (in your business) who can report to you and help you identify what’s lacking or what needs improvement.

It can absolutely be difficult - I get that. That’s why it is so important to stand tall and be courageous enough to hear the truth. It takes courage to hear what we don’t want to hear and take it in stride, identify next steps, and avoid crumbling in the face of adversity.

Today, we’re exploring the fatal flaw of comparison - an incredibly important concept because we all need to believe ourselves and trust in the journey. We need to accept that we’re exactly where we need to be… and not get stuck thinking that we’re “too far gone” or we’re “not ready” to face life’s challenges and hurdles.

Here’s our Impact Report for the month of December:

• Brought clean drinking water to people around the world through an organization called charity:water
• Paid off a Christmas layaway for someone at Walmart
• Make donations to the Red Cross for the recovery efforts in Haiti and the Chester County Food Bank (in my hometown!)
• Make a donation to David’s Drive to support veterans to get back on their feet
• My husband and daughter and I will be donating toys to a local hospital to the kids who will be in the hospital for the holidays

This first impact report is special to me, as I had the opportunity to bring my daughter with me to drop off donations to charities in our hometown. As parents, we constantly strive to be role models for our children. I want my daughter to have a sense of giving, charity, and the drive to make a difference as she grows up.
